This spell is for throwing off procrastination and hesitation, which are the thieves of progress and peace. Any of the stones listed will aid in this magic, but if you don’t have them or don’t wish to engage mineral magic this is a pure incantation that can be cast with nothing but your will.
The Stones
For the record, the crystals play the following roles for this spell:
- Red jasper is fire, it will help you take action and perhaps bring passion or at least inspiration to your efforts.
- Lapis lazuli, a command or master stone, brings authority, in this case over yourself and your own life. It can help you take charge and get moving. In this context it emanates the quality of fire-of-air.
- Moss agate dispels laziness and provides a sturdy, workhorse dose of earth energy.
- Fire agate is much like the red jasper in this context, with an additive of the air element for a more expansive and less intense drive.
You can hold a stone in our receptive hand as you cast, letting it charge your magic. Or you may hold a stone in your projective hand as you cast, using it as a lens to focus and channel your magic through. Or you could do both of the aforementioned and use two stones in the operation. Obviously, each stone has many more attributes as well but I’m sticking to the subject at hand.
