Channeling Sigil

Channeling Sigil

Channeling is a term used to describe the intentional direction of energy. This sometimes means moving energy along a specific conduit or channel, such as a pathway in your energetic makeup. A channel in the context of a conduit might also mean a certain intention, line of thought, or emotional state. Still another scenario involving channeling is the conjuring of energy into this world from higher planes, like bringing a particular influence into a magical ritual or bringing a spirit into the area for communication or other work.

Quite often the magician or mystic uses his or her aura and body as the bridge for channeling energy, whether in the form of blind forces or intelligent spiritual beings. It is also possible to avoid this and use something other than yourself as the “bridge”.

There’s your breakdown of the term, now onto the sigil.

Using a Sigil to Channel

This sigil acts as the conduit or bridge for bringing energy from wherever it exists to wherever you want it. Use it to draw energetic influences or effects into yourself, drive them into someone else, or set them within an environment or timeline. This can all be done as you draw the sigil and can of course be emphasized thereafter with additional magic if you so desire.

Channeling Sigil

Clearly you must know what you want to channel before making this sigil. A symbol should be drawn or an object or correspondence can be set on the page above where you will draw the sigil.*

  1. Draw the “cup” at the top as if to receive the energy.
  2. Draw the vertical line top to bottom to provide the focal point that directs the energy along your channel.
  3. Make the right diagonal and sickle blade, Above, outward, male.
  4. Make the left diagonal and sickle blade. Below, inward, female.
  5. Draw the circle in the middle making sure to catch all three lines within it. This is the moment of execution that initiates the channeling.

* You can alternatively use the sigil to channel an idea or target you visualize or imagine, if you don’t want to draw a symbol or place a correspondence above your sigil.

Some Examples of this Sigil in Application

Here are examples of the channeling sigil being used to channel elemental fire, the planetary forces of Venus, inspiration, and the properties of a citrine point:

Remember you can direct the energy into yourself, someone else, a location, a time, or any circumstance or object. You can also trace this sigil in the air if you wish, instead ofusing a marker and paper.
